Clutter Crazy!

The other day I was having one of those panic attacks when you realize how much unnecessary stuff you have in the house and clutter is just everywhere you look.... and in one corner, leaning up against the couch, was a bag with these four big, kind of cheap looking, white frames my husband had taken from his parents house... because they were moving and probably were planning to give them to a thrift store. I was so mad that he took them because I knew they would just end up in our basement for years until we would give them to a thrift store. So I decide to change this fate and use them. I just put scrapbook paper in them. I think they look kind of neat and they match my great new pillow made by my Auntie Anita. I think they will look really good in one of the bedrooms in an arrangement of two over two, with a crisp color behind them.

Sink & Faucet

Just bought this sexy faucet from ebay:

And this sink, also from ebay:

Hopefully they will work well together. I am a little nervous since the faucet is so high. Cant' wait till they come.... and even more until they are installed!

My Christmas Gift

My husband bought me this metal wall decor for Christmas. He tells me that I said I liked it when we were walking through this designer store a few months back... I can vaguely remember, but I am glad he was listening, because I absolutely love it!

A Simple Update

This is were we are sitting at right now.

Bathroom Design

I planned a layout for this bathroom before.... but my ideas have changed some. (Click here for the before plan) My new plan is a little more modern.
I want to wallpaper the wall that has the vanity on it with the rest of the walls a light grey... almost white color. The baseboards, window trim and door will be a bright white. I want a rectangular ceramic vessel sink with modern mirror for the back and two vanity lights on either side. My plan is to paint the outside of the bathtub black. And what I am working on now is picking tile for the floor. My current favorite is this tile I found at the home show this past weekend from flatlanders flooring:

Still in Demo World

My life for the past month has been all about demolishing! This is the biggest reason for my lack of blogging- I have nothing new to share... but the end is in sight and I can't wait for the putting back together of our home part.
We have made a few decisions in the past month. We reworked the floor plan of the upstairs ... take a look:

This is the previous layout:
This is our plan:

The last image is another option for the ensuite. I am still undecided about this layout. The trick with this room is that the toilet has to be in that spot and the wall opposite the door is all windows, so I can't put a sink in front of it... and now that I think of it the bath probably wouldn't be best in front of the window either : (
Ok, I am back to the option in the last picture.
