Quiet Book

My labour of love, which in no way compares to the labour my friend went through to deliver her beautiful baby, was to make a Quiet Book. I have always wanted to make one, so in spring, when my friend told me she was pregnant, I believe the second thing out of my mouth.... after being speechless and excited and finally saying congratulations... was "I am going to make you a Quiet Book!" This project is a definite time commitment, but a super fun project.

Window trim is all up and looks so great! I love the character of it... it's like a brand new old!

Baseboards

This project really slowed us down. These pictures only show a small amount of the baseboards, window and door trim. I just hope they were worth it! (I am sure they will be... I can't wait to see them nailed in place!)

They went from this ....

Pearl Pillow

I discovered how to make these satin flowers while looking at neat hair accessories on etsy. They are super easy, all you do is cut circles out of satin, then take your circle and hold the edges close to a flame so the edge will melt. I started making the flowers not knowing what I would do with them and then my mom suggested a pillow. It's not done yet... but getting there.
